English Alum named Jazz Master

Mose Allison has just been named a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master.  Mose was an English and Philosophy major at LSU, graduating in 1952, and Anna Nardo led the effort to have LSU award him an honorary doctorate in 2010: “So one of our majors is now in the company of Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie!”
